Message from Sheriff Franks

All employees of the Greene County Sheriff's office are servants to the citizens of our community. Our deputies strive to provide the best possible service to our citizens and visitors to our community by ensuring effective and professional communication during each contact. I am truly honored to serve every citizen of Greene County as your Sheriff. Each day, I will lead our Sheriff's department in a professional, responsible, and progressive direction.

I vow to do the best I can in my new position and to serve with honesty and integrity in a firm but fair manner. I know that the Office of the Sheriff is a huge responsibility with many burdens; but it also offers many rewards.

My promise to you, when elected in November 2018 was to enhance the professional operation of the Sheriff's office.

Since taking office in January 2019, we have successfully placed an additional School Resource Officer in the Greene County Tech Public Schools to enhance the school district security and safety. My staff and I have also made several changes in the jail operations and have lessen the financial burden for the County and the citizens.

My staff and I remain committed to provide you, the residents of Greene County, with the professional law enforcement service that you deserve. I remain committed to being fiscally responsible for this agency and to directing our personnel to better serve you.

As a lifelong residence of Greene County, I consider it an honor and privilege to serve as your Sheriff. After 25 years of serving in Law Enforcement in Greene County, I will continue to set high standards and serve you with Honor and Integrity. Thank you for entrusting me with this office.
